Michelle Murray, known to those closest to her as “Shell,” is a combat veteran, author, and advocate for healing, faith, and mental wellness. After serving in the Army and returning from Afghanistan, Michelle faced experiences that would deeply impact her life. Instead of allowing those moments to define her, she made a life-changing decision—to heal.

What began as a personal journey of releasing anger, pain, and resentment became something greater. It became purpose.

Through her healing journey, Michelle reconnected with God, rediscovered her voice, and returned to her first love—writing. From childhood poetry to storytelling, writing has always been a place of expression, but it was through her own trials that it became a place of transformation.

During the pandemic, Michelle made a conscious decision to turn her pain into purpose. She committed herself to honoring God, advocating for the mental wellness of women impacted by trauma, and using her story to help others find their way forward.

Through her books and her blog, Her Healing Haven, Michelle creates a safe space for women to feel seen, understood, and supported. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to remind every woman that she is not alone, that healing is possible, and that there is strength in choosing to face your truth.

Michelle honors every woman who chooses the path of self-discovery, knowing firsthand the courage it takes to confront pain and pursue healing.
